We have Friends & Partners from all segments of our community, which extends well beyond South Central Virginia. All of our Friends & Partners help us achieve excellence in our programming and educational initiatives. Please see each specific Friends & Partners Level below for an idea of what we are able to do with your generous gifts. All of our Friends & Partners receive early access to LCVA events.
Up to $249
Our community programs run on googly eyes, glue, and lots of glitter. Gifts at this level provide materials that are indispensable to these programs, including our Free Family Workshops, as well as the Summer Art Studio, which each summer provides more than 1,200 people with free art-making activities.
What else can we do with Friends level gifts? We can buy the 3,000+ push pins we use to hang more than 1,500 pieces of K-12 student artwork featured in the Annual Area Youth Art Exhibition.
Advocate partnerships extend the “reach” of our outreach, and allow us to do things such as provide free busing for hundreds of second-graders for field trips to the LCVA and Longwood as part of our Have Art, Will Travel program. Advocate level gifts also help us create free exhibition gallery guides and Art on Campus guides.
Do you enjoy exhibition openings, our Art after Dark Creative Gatherings, and in-gallery activities?
Gallerist level partnerships make it possible for us to present these special experiences to everyone completely free of charge. Gifts at this level also provide the resources needed to purchase archival materials for the safe storage and display of our more than 3,000 permanent collection objects.
Each Champion Partner makes a critical difference to those we serve in our community. Champion level gifts provide the funding necessary to support key LCVA outreach programs such as ART Kids, which utilizes photography to develop and facilitate positive communication among its fourth grade participants.
Gifts at the Leader level provide significant support for the programs that make Longwood and LCVA unique, such as the rotating, student-selected Brock Commons Sculpture Program, and our temporary exhibitions, which are always free for everyone.
$25,000 and higher
