SUMMARY:Point of Departure - 2026 Senior Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:POINT OF DEPARTURE features projects celebrating artistry\, curiosity\, and the power of the visual arts and media in a liberal arts education by Longwood University scholars. \nArtists and designers from Theatre\, Art\, and Graphic & Animation Design present a culminating portfolio inspired by personal insights\, pressing contemporary issues\, and visual communication and branding. Each project underscores the depth and connective power of the arts\, human imagination\, and creativity. Seniors in the Communication Studies Department\, concentrating in Digital Media\, are presenting their capstone documentary projects representing a culmination of their creative journey\, which seamlessly blend technical production skills\, narrative craft\, and critical insight. These personal explorations and subjective stories reflect the passions\, questions\, and voices of emerging filmmakers. \nStyled for Success highlights interdisciplinary creative work from students in the College of Business and Economics. A familiar doll sets the stage for career ambitions\, dressing for the job you want\, and the confidence to grow into your own future. \nCollectively\, this exhibition reflects Longwood’s dedication to the development of citizen leaders. In a complex world\, these students are ready to make positive contributions to the common good of society and explore meaningful connections in their communities.\nGenerously sponsored by the Cook-Cole College of Arts & Sciences.
