Pinkalicious: The Exhibition — The Colorlicious World of Victoria Kann is a rainbowtastic exhibition of color, adventure, and discovery. Victoria Kann, an award-winning illustrator and author, created the Pinkalicious character and illustrated Goldilicious, Silverlicious, Emeraldalicious, Aqualicious, and Peterrific. She is also the co-executive producer of Pinkalicious and Peterrific on PBS Kids. Victoria Kann started her art career as an editorial illustrator for several publications, including Businessweek, Harper’s Magazine, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Time.

An Art*O*Mat is a retired cigarette vending machine transformed into a fine art vending machine. It’s stocked with miniature works of art (neither dangerous to your health nor to be avoided by pregnant women), many of the objects made by Virginia artists. Tokens can be purchased at the reception desk for $5. Just think, a $5 token, the agony of choosing, the thrill of pulling the knob, and you’re a collector of an original work of art.

Each year, all Longwood visual arts majors create a senior professional project that often forms the core of what will become their professional portfolio. Longwood Center for the Visual Arts has the privilege of presenting these culminating works. Point of Departure: Longwood University Department of Theatre, Art, and Graphic and Animation Design 2019 Senior Exhibition celebrates the beginning of the next stage of their life journey, the time they have spent at Longwood, and their growth as individuals, artists, and citizen leaders.
