Catch a Wave at High Street Theatre
High Street Theatre welcomes summer with two films showcasing big waves and those who love them. The family friendly animated classic Lilo and Stitch shows Thursday, June 2 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Friday, June 3 at 3 p.m. The surfing theme continues on Friday, June 3 with cult favorite Blue Crush at 7 p.m. Admission and popcorn are free for everyone.
Lilo and Stitch invites viewers to crash-land on Earth with Stitch, a runaway genetic experiment from a faraway planet. As he wreaks havoc on the Hawaiian Islands, he becomes the mischievous adopted alien "puppy" of an independent little girl named Lilo and learns about loyalty, friendship, and 'ohana, the Hawaiian tradition of family. Lilo and Stitch is rated PG for mild sci-fi action. Blue Crush follows Anne Marie – a dedicated competitive surfer raising her teenage sister – and her friends as they fulfill their dream of living the ultimate adventure amid the island paradise of Hawaii's fabled North Shore.
It is rated PG-13 for sexual content, teen partying, language and a fight. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible guardian.
